June 2020: International Summer School by the Institute of Conservation, University of Applied Arts Vienna

The International Summer School by the Institute of Conservation, University of Applied Arts Vienna for 2020 was planned to take place in Mongolia, but was cancelled due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Nevertheless, Conservation is still going international, even amid the lockdown.

The International Summer School  is taking place between June 4th and June 26th 2020 on Zoom in the form of lecture series on ‘Understanding Pigments’ by Conservation Scientist Dr. Tatjana Bayerová. The Institute joined forces with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi and the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, New Delhi in organising this programme.

The event is being attended by the following partner organisations:

  • North West University, China,
  • National Museum Institute of History of Art, Conservation and Museology, India
  • National Center for Cultural Heritage, Mongolia
  • Lumbini Buddhist University, and Patan Museum, Nepal
  • Silpakorn University International College, Thailand

The International Summer School by the Institute of Conservation, University of Applied Arts Vienna, gives the opportunity once again to get together and learn together.
