Indonesia-Austria Scholarship Programme
IASP is a doctoral scholarship programme based on the Agreement between Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (DIKTIRISTEK) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK) of the Republic of Indonesia and the OeAD-GmbH (Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation) on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research of the Republic of Austria.

Maximum age:
35 years or maximum 5 years after graduating from a master course whichever applies
Authority awarding grant:
OeAD-GmbH/MPC in cooperation with ASEA-UNINET (on behalf of and financed by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research, and Technology (KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK) of the Republic of Indonesia
Duration:
36 months (9 months preparatory phase at the beginning; possibility to extend up to a maximum of 2 semesters on a case-by-case basis)
Quota:
Up to 15 new scholarships per study year
Grant benefits:
- Tuition-free education
- Monthly living allowance: 1,150 Euro
- International airfares (tickets): at cost, maximum of 1,000 Euro
- Monthly mobility allowance: 80 Euro
- Monthly family allowance: 250 Euro for spouse and 250 Euro for one child in maximum (provided only on the 2nd and 3rd years of study, if the family is invited by the student)

Application form:
The following documents have to be submitted:
- Letter of Acceptance from a supervisor of the Austrian host university or an unconditional Letter of Admission (LoA)
- Short description of study project (2-4 pages, title, content, methodology, timetable) which has been agreed on with the future supervisor in Austria
- Permission from the head of the home university for those coming from public universities and/or the head of Agency for Higher Education in respective region for those from private universities
- Two reference letters by university lecturers (no specific form required: they must contain the letterhead, date and signature of the person recommending the applicant and the stamp of the university/department and must not be older than six months at the time of application.)
- Scan of passport (page with name and photo)
- Scan of transcripts and graduation certificates of former studies (diploma, bachelor, master, PhD or doctoral studies)
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae in English language
- Certificate of English language competency with a minimal score of TOEFL IBT 90 or TOEFL ITP 550 or IELTS 6.5, valid for 2 years from the date of test
Selection process:
After submission of the documents to DIKTIRISTEK, preselected candidates will be invited to an interview in Indonesia, held by a joint selection committee of representatives of DIKTIRISTEK and ASEA-UNINET. Nominated candidates apply for admission to an Austrian university. The decision about the final scholarship award will be made after successful admission. Selection results will be posted on https://dikti.kemdikbud.go.id
