New Funding Program: Cooperation Development Research // Call for Application

The new program „Cooperation Development Research“ is a funding programme to support development research projects.

The aim is to support application-oriented cooperation projects between Austrian higher education institutions/research institutions and institutions in countries of the Global South in order to contribute to analysing and solving local challenges and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015.

Supported are mobility and material expenses for researchers at Austrian and international higher education institutions/research institutions in countries of the Global South within the framework of one- to three-year research projects. The program is open to all scientific disciplines.

Depending on the duration of the project the funding amounts are up to EUR 50,000.- Euro per project.

Eligible partners in the global South are higher education institutions/research institutions in Non-European countries on the current

of the categories „Least Developed Countries”, “Other Low Income Countries” and “Lower Middle Income Countries and Territories” (except India), including among others the Kingdom of Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines and Vietnam.

Both Austrian higher education institutions/non-university research institutions and higher education institutions/non-university research institutions of a country of the Global South that is eligible to apply can submit an application. Application agency is the OeAD-GmbH.

The current Call for Application is open until 15.11.2019.
