Discussions on Academic Cooperation: Visit of Delegation from ITB and UGM, Indonesia, at Technical University of Vienna
On July 3rd 2019 a delegation of the Indonesian Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, and the Indonesian national electricity company (PLN) visited Technical University of Vienna, Austria, to explore prospective academic collaboration, including as well Indonesian industry.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss the possibility of having industrial master students, which are enrolled in informatics master study program at ITB, to spend six to nine months of his/her studies in the field of Data Science at the Technical Unviversity of Vienna. In this cooperation the PLN will fund the exchange of the students.
The first discussion on the main topic was prosperous – details on the student exchange will be discussed later this year.
In the meeting opportunieries of having other types of cooperation were discussed as well, including (but not limited to) assistance to develop a similar study program to the Innovationlehrgang (currently offered at Technical University of Vienna, Austria) in Indonesia.
