ASEA-UNINET Indonesian Chapter Workshop at Universitas Indonesia // 15-16 Oct. 2018

Universitas Indonesia as the national coordinator of ASEA-UNINET for Indonesia organized the ASEA-UNINET Indonesian Chapter Workshop from October 15th to 16th 2018 at the Universitas Indonesia.

On the first day presentations were held by representatives from each Indonesian university member of ASEA-UNINET, presenting past, current and future cooperations, at which the universities are, were or will be involved in the framework of ASEA-UNINET as well as the remarks from the Deputy Head of Mission, Austrian Embassy in Indonesia Mr. Josko Emrich. On the second day Dr. Purwanto Subroto, Ph.D from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia held a presentation, which was continued by discussions.

Supported by the Austrian Embassy and the Ministry, Indonesian ASEA-UNINET member universities have planned to carry out joint annual activities which were expected to become official activities within ASEA-UNINET. The members agree to collaborate and carry out activities that focus on short programs for students, international workshop and international conferences.

With discussing on cooperation opportunities in the coming year, forming joint activities and the development of cooperation activities between Indonesian ASEA-UNINET members as well as obtaining support from the Austrian Embassy for Indonesia and the Ministry of Research and Technology at the next ASEA-UNINET event, the program has achieved its stated objectives.

Participating universities included Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta, Institute of Technology Surabaya, Diponegoro University Semarang, Institute of Technology Bandung, Udayana University, University of Sumatera Utara, Airlangga University, Bogor Agricultural University, Hasanuddin University, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta and Universitas Indonesia.
